Marg Franklin, CFA, leads the CFA Institute and its more than 170,000 members worldwide in promoting the highest standards of education, ethics, and professional excellence in the investment profession. She assumed her role in September 2019 and has more than 25 years of investment and wealth management experience.
Before joining the CFA Institute, Ms. Franklin led International Wealth Management for North America and was president of BNY Mellon Wealth Management, Advisory Services in Canada. She also served as a board member of BNY Mellon Trust Company (Cayman). Margaret joined BNY Mellon in 2016.
Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Ms. Franklin held multiple senior management positions, including president of Marret Private Wealth and COO of Marret Asset Management, a credit and hedge fund asset manager in Toronto. During that six-year tenure, she had direct oversight of all aspects of the private wealth business. Prior to joining Marret, Margaret was a partner with KJ Harrison & Partners.
Ms. Franklin began her career in the institutional business and has worked with pension plans, endowments, foundations, and government agencies at State Street Global Advisors, Mercer, and Barclays Global Investors.
She previously served as chair of the CFA Institute Board of Governors and is a former president of the CFA Society Toronto Board. Ms. Franklin is a founding member of the CFA Institute Women in Investment Initiative, a past recipient of the Alfred C. Morley Distinguished Service Award in 2014, and a member of its Future of Finance Content Council.
Ms. Franklin earned a Bachelor of Administration in Economics from McMaster University in Ontario. She is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Society Toronto

Banji Fehintola, CFA
Banji is a Senior Director and Head of Treasury & Financial Institutions at Africa Finance Corporation (AFC). He is responsible for managing the Corporation’s balance sheet with total assets of about US$10.5 billion and leading the implementation of its annual funding program in the international loan and debt capital markets. Banji joined AFC in January 2008 and as the pioneer Treasurer of the Corporation, he was instrumental in setting up the Corporation’s treasury function and leading AFC to becoming one of the leading African credits in the international loan and debt capital markets.
He has led several landmark borrowing transactions that AFC has executed since its inception. He manages AFC’s relationship with its rating agencies, bankers, and asset managers. AFC in one of the highest investment grade rated entities in Africa with a credit rating of A3 from Moody’s. Prior to joining AFC, Banji worked with the Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities team of Citibank Nigeria and the Tax and Business Advisory Division of former Arthur Andersen. He is a Chartered Accountant, with a first degree in Economics and a master’s degree in International Finance.

Mr. Paul-Harry Aithnard is the Managing Director of Ecobank Cote d’Ivoire & Regional Executive, UEMOA since December 2018. Prior to this, he was Ecobank Group Head, Securities, Wealth and Asset Management since September 2012, in charge of brokerage, debt & equity capital markets as well as wealth and fund management activities. In this position, he has grown assets under management to $ 1 billion and has earned Ecobank the “Best Performing Broker in Africa” award, according to Africa Investor Magazine in 2015.
to this position, he was the Group Head of Research of Ecobank Group from 2008 to 2014. Under his responsibility, the Research Division was awarded as the best “Research Team in Africa” over 3 consecutive years between 2011 and 2013.
Prior to joining Ecobank, Paul-Harry worked in various positions between 2000 and 2008 with BBSP, a leading Investment Advisory firm located in Paris, Montreal and Singapore. As Global Head of Commodities, and Co-Head of Global Macro Advisory in Paris, Paul-Harry supervised all global macro and commodities research at BBSP and advised key institutional clients (Banks, Asset managers, and Hedge funds) on investment strategies in various assets/markets, including commodities, fixed income, equity and currency markets in Africa.
From 2000 to 2007, Paul-Harry was the Deputy Managing Director of the BBSP North American affiliate, in charge of Global Advisory and Sales. Paul-Harry holds a Master’s degree in History from Sorbonne Paris IV, a postgraduate Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Finance from HEC Montreal.

Sameh Shenouda
Mr. Shenouda brings over 27 years’ experience in fundraising and investments in international capital markets, with a focus on the development of infrastructure projects, setting up new platforms and has backed strong management teams. He has deep knowledge of African markets and has worked across all of AFC’s priority sectors. He is the former CEO of Zarou, a developer, owner, builder and operator of infrastructure projects in Africa, the Middle East and South Asia. During his time at Zarou, Mr. Shenouda raised US$1 billion of funding for Zarou from Blackstone Group, one of the world’s leading private equity investor. Prior to Zarou, he served as Head of Infrastructure (Equity Investments) at CDC Group Plc, the UK’s development finance institution, where he built CDC’s direct infrastructure equity business which, under his leadership, invested in excess of US$2 billion in Africa and South Asia. He has also acted as Natural Gas Industries Director at Orascom Construction Industries and Investment Principal in Actis, a leading US$4.8bn emerging markets private equity fund management business.
Mr. Shenouda, who is a graduate of INSEAD, holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Financial Management from the University of Exeter, UK, an Master of Arts degree in Development Studies and a BA honours degree in Economics, the last two qualifications from the American University in Cairo, Egypt.

Benson Adenuga joined British International Investment as Head of Office and Coverage Director for Nigeria in November 2019. Ziyanda Mpakama
Ziyanda Mpakama a senior member of AFC Capital Partners team, is a seasoned Infrastructure Finance Specialist with 15 years’ experience in Public-Private-Partnerships and Project Finance in the African renewable energy and water industries. She has been involved in the full project development cycle, from project preparation and development to implementation, both from the private and public sector sides.
Her career in development finance started at the Public Investment Corporation (“PIC”), South Africa’s largest Asset Manager which manages the Government Employees Pension Fund and finances projects in the Renewable Energy Sector. Post her time in the energy sector, Ziyanda moved into funding water infrastructure projects while working for the Stockholm International Water Institute and the Industrial Development Corporation.

Thabang Selota is an investment professional who joined WWF South Africa in August 2022. Currently serving as an ESG Investment Analyst in the Business Development Unit, he brings with him extensive experience of approximately 5 years in the asset management industry. Thabang has previously held positions at reputable firms such as Ninety One (formerly known as Investec Asset Management) and Allan Gray.
In addition to his role at WWF South Africa, Thabang serves as the ESG and Biodiversity Credits lead for the Sustainable Finance Coalition. As part of this coalition, he actively contributes to the incubation and implementation of finance solutions aimed at establishing effective and enduring naturescapes across Africa.

Mr. Olutosin Oni serves as Chief Executive Officer at Gokada. He served as Managing Principal, Investments and Portfolio Management at EchoVC Partners. Prior to joining EchoVC, Tosin co-founded a number of startups including a boutique financial advisory firm in which he helped develop strategy and advised clients and a securities trading platform.
He was previously Head of Structured Products at FBN Capital Limited, a role in which he managed the launch of the Structuring desk and led the development of the desk’s risk management and performance management frameworks. Rachael is the Head of Group Sustainability and ESG for Ecobank Transnational Incorporation. She is responsible for supervising the bank’s 33 subsidiaries’ global sustainability and ESG initiatives. She has been featured on CNBC Africa and other platforms as a media commentator on sustainable finance-related topics in Africa. She is also the sustainability spokesperson for Ecobank.

Chidi is currently the Head of Credit Risk at InfraCredit. He is a professional with over 20 years of experience in Credit Risk Management, Structuring and Syndications, Financial Analytics, and Asset recoveries. Prior to InfraCredit, he was a Senior credit analyst-corporate credits at Union Bank of Nigeria and held a credit approving authority mandate. Chidi has held senior credit analyst and management roles in financial institutions such as Credit Manager (specialized credit) at Stanbic IBTC Nigeria, Credit Risk Documentation Officer at Citigroup Nigeria, and Remedial Manager (Asset Based finance) at
Citigroup Nigeria. He holds a BSc. in Biochemistry from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and an MSc. in International Business & Emerging Markets from the University of Edinburgh Business School.
Chidi is also a Board Member, as well as the Risk and legal Thematic lead at the Financial Center for Sustainability (FC4S), where he has leveraged his expertise and experience to maintain oversight on initiatives that will develop de-risking mechanisms in supporting/ promoting the issuances and investments in sustainable finance related instruments, reduce regulatory and compliance risks relating to climate-friendly projects and drive market discussion around pricing of green instruments taking cognizance of its developmental impacts, amongst others mandates.

Fiona Ahmed Ahimie is the Managing Director of FBNQuest Securities Limited, a subsidiary of FBNQuest Merchant Bank which is a subsidiary of First Bank of Nigeria Holding PLC. Fiona was the Managing Director of African Alliance Limited, a South African Investment Banking firm where she worked before her current role. She has also worked with Cordros Capital, Stanbic IBTC Bank and Lead Capital Limited in varying capacities.
Fiona is an Accounting graduate from Lagos State University with equivalent professional qualifications as Chartered Accountant and Chartered Stockbroker. She holds an MBA from the prestigious Lagos Business School and a diploma from IESE, Spain.
She is the first female Vice President of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers of Nigeria, a position held by men for the last 30 years, which clearly distinguishes her, and she serves on various committees with exceptional contributions. Until recently, Fiona served on the board of Purple Real Estate Investment Limited, where she displays her advisory and supervisory abilities. She is currently a Non-Executive Director on the board of NGX Real Estate Limited, Women Reform Organisation and a member of the Statutory Audit Committee of the Central Securities Clearing System Limited (CSCS). Fiona is a member of the Curriculum Management and Learning Committee and a guest lecturer for the full time MBA class of the Lagos Business School. She has vast experience and in-depth knowledge in Finance and Capital Markets, with focus on strategy, project finance, asset management andproduct development.
Fiona is very passionate, professional, and entrepreneurial minded and serves on advisory boards of several SMEs. Lastly, Fiona serves as a mentor to many professionals including WIMBIZ’ Women on Boards Mentoring Programme and undergraduates. She is a pacesetter and a role model.

Segun Akintemi is currently the CEO of Page Financials. He has over 30 years experience in the banking/Financial services industry of which 15 were spent in Senior Management and Executive positions.
He has exemplary leadership and business process/transformation skills employed in his past roles with responsibilities for shared services at Skye Bank plc with over 250 branches across Nigeria. He was also at various times responsible for the banks businesses across West Africa and particularly positioning the bank as one of the most technologically advanced financial institution in the country. He was a Director on the board of Law Union & Rock and is presently a member of the board of IHS Towers, the largest tower company in Nigeria.
As part of the founding team at Renmoney Microfinance Bank, he provided strategic leadership and direction at startup which led to its evolution as one of the leading consumer finance institutions in the country.
He holds a first degree in Computer Science from the University of Lagos and an MBA from the Prestigious Lagos Business School. He is an Alumnus of INSEAD Business School in France, Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania and has attended several senior management courses. He is a member of the Institute of Directors and Honorary Senior Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers(HCIB).

Jude Chiemeka comes with over 26 years’ experience in Securities Trading and Asset Management across markets in Africa. He joined NGX from United Capital Securities Limited a subsidiary of United Capital Plc, where he was the MD/CEO. He had previously helmed affairs at leading investment banking firms in Nigeria such as Chapel Hill Denham Securities and Rencap Securities (Nigeria). Jeremy Awori is the Chief Executive Officer of the Ecobank Group. He assumed this role on 1st March 2023, following a distinguished career of over 25 years in the financial industry.
